UCW ( Ultimate Combat Wrestling), "Battle Zone" Union City, Tn Results Saturday Night Oct 19

I would like to say Thank You to all the UCW management and Wrestlers for the warm Welcome for the Wrestling News Center at their Event Saturday Night. It was a true pleasure to be involved. They are located at 308 South First St. Union City, Tn., for you that might want to add the address to your GPS.

Have you ever been to a place, that when you walk into it, it feels like you belong? Well that is the way I felt on Saturday Night Oct 19th, when I made my way in to the UCW "Battle Zone" to cover the nights event. The feeling that something was about to happen, that would change the way I was going to look at this Company, was in my mind. As the night progressed that feeling became a reality.

I have seen a lot of talented men in the Wrestling events that I have covered for WNC as well as growing up going to local and distant matches. The men that work for UCW have, what I can only describe as "Heart". There was an intensity and a hunger in their eyes and I believe that this resounded with the fans who were excited and "into" every match on the card. The Wrestler's are a mix between young, newcomers to seasoned Veteran's, but all have a level of talent that is second to none.

The Building is an inconspicuous fixture to Downtown Union City, Tn. Some big names in the Wrestling Profession have made their way into this building over the years and one specifically has made a lasting impression on the Promoters David and Becky Biro. This man is Superstar Bill Dundee, and the Building holds his name as an honor to what he has brought to the business of Professional wrestling.

I cannot say enough about why I believe fans young and old should give UCW the opportunity to show you why they are a great Wrestling Company! I will leave you with this one last thought, before I begin to recap the matches as the title of this report says, There are many Wrestling companies in the "local" area within 25 miles of Union City, but I can say only one will hold my personal coverage for the foreseeable future and that Company is UCW, Union City, Tn. I can guarantee you will not find a better Wrestling Event to attend for your hard earned dollar.

Match 1- "Southern Perfection" Gaylon Ray Vs Zach O'Brien. Here a season veteran Gaylon Ray  faced a young man with a lot of talent. Gaylon gave Zach a lot of problems through out the match hitting him with precision kicks and less than ethical tactics. Zach was lucky to pull out a win on this seasoned veteran with a surprising stiff leg to the jaw. Gaylon, when he recovered from the stunning blow, exacted his revenge with the help of his "Second" Jay Moore. The two beat Zach down and began to whip him to the point that security and UCW "CEO" Lloyd Moore had to intervene. Zach O'Brien winner.

Match 2- Young Gun K-9 Title on the line: Chris "Bad Boy" Bradley Vs "Miracle" Matthews. The sleeper match of the evening!! I did not know what to expect out of these two young men. It is personally my first time seeing these two in action, I can say I was impressed. The two men are equally matched in skill set and intensity. They both are risk takers and high fliers. I have described many this way, but these two men were precise in their execution of moves, not just lucky. The back and fourth between the two was what made the match, with "Miracle" Matthews taking the win with an impressive flip from the top rope leading to a reverse Bull dog. Miracle Matthews winner

Match 3- UCW Tag Team Championship on the line:  "Challengers" The "Hooligans" VS "Champions" "Sons of the South" B.B. and J.P. The recently formed Hooligans, Terry Wayne and Adison Caine faced the SOS with an anger about them that appears to be from pent up youthful aggression. Adison Caine was very vocal with his disdain for the fans and Terry Wayne was a silent assassin, waiting on the times to strike. The SOS is an excellent team that has the crowd behind them. They area a big set of guys but can move like a couple of cruiser weights when they need to.  B.B. took the brunt of the Hooligans youthful anger and about had his knee dislocated for his trouble. The Hooligans pulled out all stops in their attempt to take the Tag Titles going as far as trying to cripple B.B. with  blows to B.B.'s knee with the wooden clubs they carry to the ring. As the tension of and almost foreseeable win by the Hooligans progressed, B.B. was able to make a tag to J.P. who was able to get a well placed F5 on Terry Wayne for the win. SOS winners

Match 4- (Non Title Match) "Mr Everything" Anton Leveigh's "Pick your Poison" Opponents for UCW Champion, Chris Rocker. Anton Picked two former UCW Heavy weight Champions, Houston and Sarge O'Reily to face the Rocker. To say the Rocker and Jay Moore were not happy is an understatement. The UCW Champion threatened to walk out on the entire match until Commissioner Lloyd Moore Threatened Suspension if The Rocker did not return. Well with this threat he did return and the match took place. Chris Rocker showed why he is the Champion with his wrestling Skills. There was only one point that Rocker's guard was down and that is when Houston was cranking an arm wringer  he handed off the move to the referee, who was just as surprised as Rocker was when He opened his eyes and saw who was applying the hold. From that point though, there was nothing but a fight. Sarge and Houston began the offensive against Rocker and were matched at every turn. It was not until Sarge was removed from the match by Red's Interference, that Houston was helped out by Anton Leveigh stunning Rocker and  a quick boot to the face of the Rocker by Houston gained the win. Houston Winner

Main Event- "NRG" Ricky Andrews was Jay Moore's pick for Chris Rocker to Face Anton Leveigh. These two were former partners in "NRG" and for reasons unknown to me at this time are now mortal enemies. Ricky was accompanied to the ring by Jay Moore as well as Jessica Andrews. These two would be a deciding factor in many portions of this match with interference and distraction.  Stipulations of falls count anywhere in the building and No DQ were added to the match and the fight began from there. In and out of the ring these two competitors gave each other a beating. Kicks,  punches, use of stationary items to crushingly injure your opponent these two did it. It was not until Anton was caught off guard by Chris Rocker using a "Loaded" fist knocking Anton out for Chris Rocker to lay Ricky Andrews arm across Anton for the pin. Ricky Andrews the Winner.

Please enjoy the pictures. For the best bang for your Wrestling Dollar, come out and enjoy the UCW located at 308 South First st. Union City, Tn. every Saturday night at 8 pm unless otherwise stated on the card.
